New plane decision made, going with the Sig
Well after much reading and soul searching, I've decided to go with the Sig Mayhem 3D. The PAM edge seems to be a great model but for my budget and all I went with the Sig. Maybe I'm not ready for a scale aircraft yet anyway. The Mayhem's wing is more like the models I've been flying. I did have to get a stronger servo for the rudder anyway. I couldn't see going the 6V route. I would have cost more than the servo, considering I needed the regulator and all. That would have come to another $83+. I know someone who lost his model using the wood screws to mount the horns. They pulled out and he crashed. He contacted Sig and they sent him a new plane though. I've got some heavy duty Dubro stuff with the CF rods I had on my US 120. The ones with the titanium ends from Central Hobbies. I got my YS back and they(under warranty) changed the regulator plunger and replaced the crank and needle assembly that was damaged in the crash. @$150. They told me they had it running great on the bench. So did I,,,, on the bench.lol
If anyone is still flying the Mayhem, let me know how you like it and any things I need to know to avoid problems. I've ordered a sullivan tail wheel with the order.
