Well after much reading and soul searching, I've decided to go with the Sig Mayhem 3D. The PAM edge seems to be a great model but for my budget and all I went with the Sig. Maybe I'm not ready for a scale aircraft yet anyway. The Mayhem's wing is more like the models I've been flying. I did have to get a stronger servo for the rudder anyway. I couldn't see going the 6V route. I would have cost more than the servo, considering I needed the regulator and all. That would have come to another $83+. I know someone who lost his model using the wood screws to mount the horns. They pulled out and he crashed. He contacted Sig and they sent him a new plane though. I've got some heavy duty Dubro stuff with the CF rods I had on my US 120. The ones with the titanium ends from Central Hobbies. I got my YS back and they(under warranty) changed the regulator plunger and replaced the crank and needle assembly that was damaged in the crash. @$150. They told me they had it running great on the bench. So did I,,,, on the bench.lol
If anyone is still flying the Mayhem, let me know how you like it and any things I need to know to avoid problems. I've ordered a sullivan tail wheel with the order.

Hey, I'm looking forward to hearing more about your plane. I have a Mayhem still in the box and plan to put a Saito 125 on it. I'll have to wait untill the 125's come out but don't plan to fly the Mayhem untill spring or summer anyway though.

Thanks for the reply Rob. I'll post some of the stuff I do but I don't believe I'll go to any great lenghts because the plane's been done and written about before. I hope I enjoy it like all the other folks who have them. All the Sig planes I've seen are high quality. That's why holding on the control horns with wood screws seems wierd. I doubt I'll use them. I built a VF Extra 300 for my YS 110 and lost it on maiden. It just went nuts on me and went in. Still not sure what happened. All my radio gear works fine. That is all but the RX which I sent back to Hitec. Are you going to go ahead and assemble your plane now?

Hi, Sorry to take so long to get back with you. I may start on the Mayhem at Christmas time but don't plan to fly it untill spring or so. I don't have the engine for it yet anyway. I might get a YS 110 but I'm not too sure if it's worth the problems I have heard about them. How has yours worked?

My plane arrived today from Tower. I checked it out and it seems to be fine. I heard from Hitec on the RX and they said the Slim RX was discontinued and I'm getting the supreme 8ch as a replacement. I ordered a Hitec digital 645 for the rudder. Using the 635 digitals for the rest. It looks like I'll have a problem getting the YS 110 insided the cowl though. May have to mount it inverted. Not my favorite method. I'm going to see if it's possible to use two servos on the elevators. If so, I'll split the elevator in half. I'll mount the engine and see how much weight I need in the back. I don't know why people have so much trouble with the pull pull rudder.
The quality of the ARF seems to be as good as any I've done.

Oh yeah I know they arent' jrf. I just couldn't remember the first digit of the number which designates them as digital. I think it's HS-6635 and HS-5645 but I'm not positive. I have to go to servocity each time because I'm to dumb to remember the #s. Thanks for the caution though.

Ah... Suitcase...
The 635 and 645 are good servos, but they aren't digital. And don't try to use them with either Futaba or Hitec PCM. They are incompatible. Sorry.
