Did you check the battery voltage? Same thing happened to me with my new foamy/rimfire, I thought the battery was fully charged. Come to find out that after I walked away from the charger it must have blinked off. The time before I let the battery drain to long and the charger won't hold 10 seconds to recharge. Anyway, once it was fully charged it was fine.
