What did you guys think of the landing gear mount block they included in the kit GP Extra 300 S .40? I thought it was ok but we fly off a grass strip and it has been dry lately and I tore the block out twice! Not much damage but just un un-necessary work. I upgraded it to encompass more of the lower fwd fuse. No problem now. It would tear out the vert. braces, the lite ply bottom and poke unsightly holes in the bottom of the wing covering. I would understand if I was pounding the runway, but it happened even on smooth landings. Maybe a large tuft of grass? Maybe some thing to think about beefing up just a touch before you fly? Anyway, King, I was expecting to read all about your flights and the performance reports. How soon? I have 40 flights on mine. Should be more but it's been too windy for the past 4 weeks.
