Default RE: its time for 90 size all balsa 3d kits

ORIGINAL: pizza

that is still no good - it has to weigh under 5lb all up ready to go minus fuel. did you see that 90 size funtana crash video? it was a nice looking plane but he got board because it weighs 10lb and would only do blenders and fly fast so he crashed it in nicely. if it weighed under 5lb he would quit his job and fly it everyday. don't let this happen to you! if we stop buying cheep 10lb 3d planes then companies will start mass producing light kits from balsa - no lazercut ply. it is proven - my diablotin will fly unlimited imac sequence, fai pattern, every 3d manuver - I even flew it in a pillon race - we need to demand more rather than to settle for less.
This is more rather than less. I picked it up at a local swap meet cheap. Not sure what it is, but it is 6 pounds with the same equipment that would make the F90 9 pounds. Yes, it floats like a feather with about 9XXin of wing area and does fly lower class IMAC nice and 3D's very slow and easy. I like to fly the 10 pound F90 more though.

I think you are crazy if you think you can build from scratch a F90 that is stronger and 40% lighter than the one that H9 puts out in an ARF.
