RE: rimfire problem
If you are having trouble programming the BL-8, there was a batch made in the latter part of June that was defective - would not store any program changes. They replaced mine under warranty no problem.
Now for another problem I have with the Rimfire motor/BL-8 controller. I have the motor, the recommended 9x3.7 APC prop, BL-8 controller. The motor sort of stutters back and forth a little and then will sometimes start turning the prop, sometimes just stops. Pull the throttle back down, and try again and it does the same thing. After it start turning, throttles up and down just fine as long as you don't let it come to a stop again. Have tried different receivers, different transmitters, two lipo and even a nicad battery pack. Tried it with and without servos on the receivers. Same results each time.
Sent the motor and esc back and they said it worked fine. Anyone had any problem with RF getting into the esc, or any similar problems?
Have run the motor on a Jeti Advance 18-3P controller with no problems.
I'm probably going to change to at least a 10 amp controller anyway - don't know why they recommend an 8-amp for that motor.
