Has anyone tried an OS 70 4 stoke on a 40 size KAOS. I was just looking on Towers site and they suggest a 48 to 52. Think a 70 might be a little over kill, of just go ahead and make the flight controls real big and fly it 3D[&o]?

I've seen it done. The plane needed larger wheels for better ground clearance(large prop). I'm flying an O.S. .46FX and I get complaints for flying so fast. One reccomendation that I would give to anyone flying this type of ballistic missile( vintage pattern plane)- don't fly with other people around.

My modified Kaos kit is a smidge over five pounds and I found that the OS 46 was not able to pull it unlimited vertical at ballistic speed. It would pull unlimited vertical but would slow down some. I swapped out the 46 for an Irvine 53 and now I have ballistic vertical. It will do a vertical hover but the control surfaces are not large enough to hold it in an unlimited hover. It is kind of amazing to see a Kaos fly that fast with the fat Kaos wing but it does haul. Not as fast as my Tiporare but pretty darn fast.
Actually, my O.S. .46 FX combo will hover. I've done torq rolls with it and rolling circles also.
