RE: its time for 90 size all balsa 3d kits
I think the best thing you can do is buy yourself another Diablotin. I think you have the perfect plane in front of you already. Just buy another one and change the color of it. That way you can fly a plane that suits you and is not hard to handle like the other mass produced planes.
I would stay away from planes that are bricks and explode when landed hard. Yet I never seen a plane Explode as you mentioned out of all the crashes I seen.
Not to sound rude but just my thoughts. I have been flying a F90 now since it came out and I see no problem flying with the weight it is. If I cut the engine off and land deadstick it still floats right in. It lands the same with or without the engine. Maybe you need to practice more with other mass produced planes that are heavier and get used to them. Either that or stop watching what the other guy is doing and try one yourself. That way you wont have explosions on landings and will know for yourself the limit of the plane.
They are not hard to fly and everyone else seems to have no problem making them float with the higher weight they carry. As you can see from videos on here people are capable of doing what they want to do and having fun doing it. No complaints.
I dont think I would want a plane that light anyways. I feel the F90 is way light enough as it stands. Any more lighter and it would be an indoor only plane.
