Ihad the same problem when i rebuilt my engine with the .18 piston and sleeve. I spent a long time trying to get it off without disturbing the spring but in the end i just pulled it and ended up rewinding the spring. That sucked. I hope someone has an answer as i am curious as well. It took me a good 1/2 hr to rewind that spring.
