The Sullivan Tiger Drive is the only roto type starter that will work in a Fun Factor.

You want the S680 drive. Towers should have them in stock or your hobby store should be able to get them.

Usually the starter wand is seperate from the backplate adaptor as well as needing a batt.

Or just get the backplate setup and use a cordless drill .. either way, just give it quick bumps ( don't grind away ). If you have a good tune, spark, and fuel, it will fire rite up

You can delete the extras posts.

mulletman, if you use the electric drill it will need to turn at least 500 rpms (faster is better) and be real carefull of hydrolocking because you won't be able to "feel" it when it happens.

Forgot to add it might be better to get a starter box instead. You can only use the Tiger drive on the CEN engine and if you upgrade to an OS you will have to buy a new Tiger drive but with a starter box you will be able to use it for both.

just got my engine out of my mt2 and ready to pull the pull start off. i get the thing unscrewed and tried to pull it straight off. but the spring and everythingwants to just stay on the shaft. all that wants to move is the cover.
Can someone help me with a way to get the spring off in the cover so it dosent slap me in the face?

Ihad the same problem when i rebuilt my engine with the .18 piston and sleeve. I spent a long time trying to get it off without disturbing the spring but in the end i just pulled it and ended up rewinding the spring. That sucked. I hope someone has an answer as i am curious as well. It took me a good 1/2 hr to rewind that spring.

I pull it out a little bit and then stick a screwdriver in there and pry the rest out. It doesnt take much and works every time.
