I'd used the 555 in the glow and the Electron in the electric. Why, just because the electron is lighter and designed more with electric flight in mind.

Be aware, I've read reports that the Electron can get a bit glitchy if it gets hot. Supposedly this will occur if the receiver gets over 125F. Don't leave it in the sun on a hot day...
