It really does seem that "less is more" when applied to the Wren MW44 and AMD Hawk!
I'm currently flying a Grumania SU-27 with a Wren MW44. This is another great combination. It certainly doesn't hang about at full throttle!
I see that this will be your first Jet. I'm not much further on than that myself. I've found turbine powered jets not any more or less difficult to fly than a fast "normal" IC engine sport plane. They are just different. Being generally faster, heavier and much more exciting. The sound and smell is pure magic too. Beware, once you start there's no going back!
One major difference is the turbine spool up and down times. The delay in stick to thrust response takes some getting used too and requires a great deal of anticipation and forward planning.
Not sure why the Bentwater meetings stopped. I'd certainly support them if they started up again.
