RE: Mac 38cc on a Giant Big Stik
Mike
The ground clearance of the Dyanflite 18x6 prop is only 1" or so. To get that I did not use the wheels that came with the Giant Big stik, but opted to use some 4" WW1 wheels I had from and earlier project. That gave me the ground clearance I needed to use a 18" prop. I like tail dragger's so I built mine that way. You wanted to know about ground clearance with a level fuselage. I believe you must be talking about a trike site up with this plane. If you want to use a tricycle landing gear setup with an 18" prop I am sure you would need larger wheels than the ones that come with the plane.
The note on Tower Hobbies is correct. The cg and servo throws in the manual are wrong. I used the suggested ones that came with the little addendum card in the kit.
Thanks
