I'll take a shot.

If your boys' tanks are the Hen Long with smoke and sound, you are bound to have problems due to their unreliable nature. The electronics seem to go haywire and fail because of electrical overload or something. I have the Pershing (Snow Leopard) with smoke and sound, which is completely undrivable.

The best thing to do is cut off the smoke machine....inside the battery compartment, there is a switch to disable it. Once it is turned off, the tanks should be a bit better. The buttons on the front of the transmitter should make the machine gun sound, as well as the cannon fire and recoil.

If your tanks do not have the smoke and sound functions, I'm not sure what to tell you. [] When the tank and transmitter are both switched on, the lights should stop blinking after 3 seconds or so and the tank should respond to the controls. If it just continues to blink, there may be a problem with the frequency crystals (one TX in the transmitter and one RX in the receiver). You might try removing and reinstalling them to see if there is a good connection and therefore a good radio signal. Also, check to make sure that all of the batteries in the transmitter are installed correctly.......it may sound silly, but I have spent hours trying to figure out a problem before realizing that one of the batteries was in wrong.

I hope something I've written will help but if not, post another message and be as specific as you can about what is and is not working. [sm=thumbup.gif]

Good Luck!
