Depending on your installation, the cone shaped end may be the best. IMHO, the main purpose of the stack is to prevent the air passing by the carburetor from siphoning gas from the carburetor via the intake. If you use the bevel to ram more air into the carburetor, you could effect the fuel-air ratio mix depending on airspeed.
