Well I have real ford model T's ,so this is special to me. I hope it doesn't fly like a slowpoke. Engines Let see You can help
TH 75
OS 61 SF
Saito 65
Magnum 91 FS I was leaning toward saito 65 or OS 61 F Both a little heavy motors ,since It comes out tail heavy from what I've read... I know my SLOWPOKE took about 6 OZ up front.
I went with the Magnum .91 FS and it balanced perfectly without having to add any ballast. It definitely does NOT fly like a slowpoke with this setup. It's fast and extremely agile. The Saito .65 would be enough engine to fly it but I'd want more power. I was really wanting to put in a Saito three cylinder radial as that would look much more scale but I just couldn't part with all those $$$. It would also take a fair amount of modification to the nose to get it in there but it'd be a sweet setup. The other mod that this airplane could really use would be to make the gear look a little more scale. A set of Williams Bros. Golden Age wheels would help a lot. The wire gear included with the kit is marginal and really ought to be thicker. Adding the bracing as on the full scale would help. Here's a picture of the one in the Henry Ford museum.
