Capt..... The gear in the wing is strong. I'm using a Magnum 91 with a 13x8 - prop clearance is fine. In fact we all have put a little negative down in the nose wheel which we believe accounts for the great landings. The plane slows just fine on final, in fact I even put flaparons (sp) and have never used them. Really this is one of the best flying planes I've ever owned. Good luck
