Thanks for the compliments. I got all the ideas from your site. I am starting to build the das spad stick from your plans and hope to learn enough from the trainer to move on as soon as possible. It cracks me up to see certain individuals who claim to be promoters of the sport insulting spads (some of the other posts). This to me is the ultimate way to get into the hobby. I have no fear of crashing, save the engine, and would hate to worry about a balsa plane. I have experienced some negativity from a couple of the old timers at the local club, "that thing is to heavy, it'll never fly" "planes should be made out of wood" etc... Then they get real quiet when they see how good the plane flys. Anyway, I am a teacher and am going to build a wing in class with some of my students and encourage the parents to help their kids get into the sport. Thanks again for sharing your plans and ideas.
