Yup EXCAP, you're right. After I managed to go solo my NexStar on my own after a couple days practicing with the sim, I got pretty excited and wondered if I couldn't manage to fly my little E-Flite Edge 540 as well. So I took it out & flew it a few times, each flite ending with a bad & or ugly at the least landing. Not any damaging landings but either hard or nose-overs. Flite # 5 was really fun! I got it to hover for a few minutes followed by a real pretty knife edge-horizontal pull-out. I flew it around a few more laps around the pattern & brought her down for a landing approach when the dumb-thumbs kicked in. I planted her like a lawn dart![:@] I thought I had just broken the prop & was very happy with my flites all in all. I got home & opened her up to find I broke just a little bit more than the prop! Luckily I was able to repair all the cracks & broken wood with CA & she is now ready for her next round of abuse. The point is I know I still need ALOT more time on my Trainers (have two) before I'm ready to move on to my real low-wing planes. Getting away with flying the little brushless Edge is one thing, my glow-powered Cap, Tequila Sunrise & Dragon Lady will be quite another thing I am sure. I won't even attempt these planes until I can do any & everything possible with my Trainers without having to really think about it.

You never know though, your boy might just be one of them Naturals, or part of the Nintendo generation. I really think these kids coming up today that have had a joystick or gamepad in there hands ever since they could pick one up really have a step up on us old farts!

Happy New Year!![sm=sunsmiley.gif]
