I was just wondering if everybody is using the original set up for the belly-pan? Especially using a 2-stroke (with bigger pipe) it is quite a hassle to mount the belly pan everytime. Also, I think if I continued using it as designed, it would break. Anyway, I sawed the belly pan in two, just in front of the wooden former: see pictures. I removed the wooden pins in the back, and will use this place to screw M5; in the front I have to make a solution so it will clip in there, but I haven't exactly figured out how to do this.
Anybody else having these problems and what solutions?
I use the bellypan as it is. But fit a 2 stroke tuned pipe inside the Infinity bellypan is like getting a camel through a keyhole.
I use a bit of steel pushrod 1.5mm 3 Futaba servo screws each side(one in the bellypan and two in the fuselage) Easy and failsafe.
The rod is winded around the front screw in the fuselage, then under the screw in the bellypan and is secured over the second srew in the fuselage.
Takes me 5 sek to click the bellypan on or off...and no need for tools....... This solution has been used for years here in Norway.
