hello Micromac, here an update on the throws I am flying with now. I started with the high/low throws you recommended, but actually never used the low setting. If I remember well, I increased the throws on the elevator, to make them to my liking.

For ailerons 23 mm (46mm total throw); elevator 25mm (50mm total); rudder 41mm (82mm). Next, I will make these my low settings, and set some big throws for high (3D) settings. Has anybody been flying this plane as a 3D plane, or only pattern?

Its wasnt a hinge failure but a MK aluminum rod end that connects to the MK bell crank that gave way. What a bummer indeed. Looks like I'll be practicing with my new Brio from now on.

hello PMR, just to clarify for me what happened. I made a picture of this part:
1. is the MK bell crank?
2. is the aluminum rod?
Correct? I ask this since I do not know how to describe these things (do not know the exact term/word, bad English from my side)
So did
A. the aluminum rod (2) break?
B. did the aluminum rod (2) break out of the MK bell crank (1)
C. did the MK bell crank (1) come out of the elevator?
D. not any of the above, talking about the wrong thing!

thanks for your answers!! I'd like to learn, so maybe I can prevent this.

I used the small bell crank. I'll post a picture of what broke for your reference. Just give me a day.

Hello guys,
I am suprised to know that so many people know about the Infinity. It was a good training plane for pattern. I have been flying it for about 100 flights, and i still have so much more to learn from the plane. Happy flying

Hi
Can anyone tell me if the servo boxes built into the wings are made for a certain type of servo.

mikehannah,

They're made for standard sized servos; but you can use Futaba S9154 servos if you want to.

i found that the boxes in the wing were made for much larger servos and needed shims so that my standard servos would fit...

If you want to use a standard servo, you need to make a plywood support for it. To make it, you need to make a plywood rectangle the size of the opening and then cut out of it a whole for the servo.

Is it only me, or does this plane look more Infinity then Inspire? Anyway, it looks very nice, and it might be it is looking like my first electric!!

Yes it does. The photos are not really all that clear on whether the model is for pattern or for 3D. If the Inspire 60 was any indication, they have some way to go to make it behave in true pattern like fashion. Hope they did their homework better on the 90.

I don’t think Fliton make the Infinity 90 any more. I need a horizontal stab and elevators. Does anyone know where I could source these from?? Thanks
