An electic RTF complet plane for under $100 limites you quite a bit. The planes I usually recommend start at around $135, but I will give you the best suggestions I can for $100
I recently came upon this plane, the Hobbico Red Hawk. I have never flown one or seen one flown but for $69 it has 2 chargers, battery and 3 channel control. Assuming the plane lives up to expectations, it is quite a bargain!

For $99, Hobbico also offers this one. Similar package to the Red Hawk but with some flight assistance. Have not flown one or seen one fly.

The HobbyZone Commander 2 is a 2 channel plane, but is very easy to fly. Many people have had great success with it. About $90

The first of the planes that I can recommend with some confidence is the HobbyZone Firebird Freedom.
Firebird Freedom - RTF Electric - $140 - space CL1
This is a three channel plane that incorporates electronic anti-crash
technology which actively monitors the plane's orientation, as it relates to
the ground and sky, and cuts the motor, in tandem with giving neutral steering
and up elevator, if the plane enters a steep dive. This causes the plane to
come out of the dive so the user can regain control. Once pilots gain
experience flying, they can increase maneuverability and overall control by
turning ACT off via the switch on the transmitter
Two piece wing that fits neatly back in the box.. Includes charger and
battery, radio and all that is needed to start flying. .

All of the planes above will need about 600X600 in clear space in order to be flyable by a new flyer.
Slow-V from Parkzone - $140 - Space
Best flown in still to under 5 mph breeze. This is the best choice for people
who only have a small space to fly or who have an indoor place to fly, such as
a gym or
similar space.
