I just bought a starter from Central Hobbies that I'm pretty happy with. I think it was about $40.00. It is gear reduced and they say it will start a 50cc engine with ease. I haven't tried it on larger engines yet, but it spins my high compression Homelite 30cc over with ease and my Sullivan High Torque wouldn't budge it. www.centralhobbies.com (I bought their "Basic Starter".)
