It's all a matter of perspective, and horsepower per pound of plane. The MVVS is powerwise much closer to a 150 than to the 100. If you want 100 power, that is what you should use.
Having said that:
Will the DA100 pull a 30x10 prop? I do not think so. Nor will the BME or Brison.
The [link=http://www.rc-network.de/forum/showthread.php?t=24714&page=3]ZDZ100 turns a 24x12x3 Engel at 5800. The MVVS turns a 27x12x3 Engel at 5800[/link]. That is a 50% increase in horsepower, so it will tip the scales toward the heavier engine, unless the plane cannot handle the weight.
