The German thread I referred to is very long. Later ZDZ models are more powerfull, but still 20% less than the 116. Weight difference is less than these 20%, so IMHO, the 116 still has an edge if you judge an engine on a HP per pound base.

The Bolly prop, by the data I have at the moment, has a lower load factor than the Mejzlik. (bolly=1 mejzlik=1.18) That means, that Bolly 30x10 turns more rpm than the Mejzlik 30x10 when compared back to back on the same day with the same engine setup. Always in search of field data, can you compare the two on the same engine? That would allow me to fine tune my spreadsheed basics.
Bolly 30x10 @ 5900 = 8.97 hp for 3W 106
Mejzlik 30x10 @ 6100 = 11.7 hp for MVVS 116 (data edit 5900 to 6100 rpm)
