The German thread I referred to is very long. Later ZDZ models are more powerfull, but still 20% less than the 116. Weight difference is less than these 20%, so IMHO, the 116 still has an edge if you judge an engine on a HP per pound base.
Since the Evolution/MVVS 116 is closer in weigh to the DA150, this is in my oppinion the engine to compare. Cubics really doens't matter - it's weight and power. The 116 is almost DA150 class in weight and pulls a significantly smaller prop.

I am no way biased towards DA, I just got an Evolution 45GX over the DA50, since I think the scales tip in favour of the Evolution in this category.
Hey I feel left out.. How about the Evo 150

and not evolution, two different animals.
