Edge 540
Now this is odd. I was looking at the yellowaircraft edge 540 compared to the Dave Patrick Edge 540T.
The specs are as follows:
Yellow aircraft-
Length:...................... 63.7"
Wing Span:................72.5"
Wing Area:...............942 sq "
Weight:.....................11-12 lbs.
Radio:.....................4 Channel
Engine:.....................1.08-1.5 (2C)
...............................1.2-1.8 (4C)
and the Dave Patricks 540 are-
Specifications:
Wing Span: 78"
Wing Area: 1210 sq in.
Length: 74"
Weight: 13- 14 lbs
Now I was noticing the difference between the length of the fuse compared to the wing span. Note on the YA 540 it is about 9" and the DP 540 4"
Now I thought this was odd. I figured that all should be about the same depending on the size. Those are a pretty big difference. O know the DP is a bit larger but it would seem that there shouldn't be with in some kind of same measurement. As the plane gets a but larger then the specs are larger as well. But not quit like this.
Just thought this was odd. I am thinking that the longer fuse on the DP may be more stable. Not really sure though.
any ideas why the big diff in fuse and wing ?
