rubbin' is racin' ...I think that is what they mean. I don't race either but I do run with my brothers. We built the same little fast catamaran that is a blast to race each other with. ...and since they were cheap and easy to build, we don't mind a little bashing. I suppose that if I were serious about racing I might do otherwise, but since it is my brothers and we race each other for fun, bashing is expected. If one of us falls too far behind we'll cut corners to catch back up so that there is a little close contact...we do the same thing with our trucks on the BMX track and the RC track. I think it also depends on the boat. I know the RR 2 can take a serious beating and not even have a scratch. It's like rubbermaid...it bounces right back. So, don't be sorry about bashing, there are others out there that do it. But, we have a certain boat we do it with. I certianly wouldn't do it with my gas boat. To much time and money put into it to risk it being damaged. My brother had his RR 2 one day at the lake and noticed a pop can floating out in front of us. He decided to hit square on and see if the boat would go under it. It did the opposite...it jumped about a foot out of the water and subbed on the other side. It popped right back up and kept going. We both thought that was pretty cool. So he did it over and over again. Nothing ever happened to the boat.
