My Quests use the "A" type mount that does not need a nose-ring. The ARI mount has an integral nose ring. Either will work. there is not much room or support for a nose-ring to be added to the fuselage. You can't fit one to the cowl. It is not strong enough. The mods shown in the "extracts" are for a Quest-1
The Quest-2 has the firewall in the right place. Mine did not need any modifications for a Hyde mount.

Hi All,
I was given a Quest G2 by a friend who is helping me to get started in pattern. I will be installling a YS 120. He also gave me a Hyde mount to use. He warned me that I may need /should use a nose ring. Any ideas on how to make one? Is it possible to even use this mount with this airframe with the cowl that is supplied? I could sure use some advice as I am anxious to get started.
