While I am somewhat biased by owning 3 raptors,
I would look at what your local folks fly, and what your local shop stocks.
The "XX is an upgraded YY" or "This is better" have no bearing if you cannot get local setup assist or you break a small part and need to wait a week to get a replacement.
In my opinion, all the modern 30/50 size ships fly pretty darn good, and unless you are the next sponsored dude up and coming, better that anyone on their first or second heli can fly.
My local shop stocks Raptor, JT and Century. My instructor/friend runs raptors, so it was a pretty easy choice.

And if you want to have a heli to grow with and later thrash, yes to the 50
