RE: GP .46 Giles---Misc Stuff
as far as the taxi issue with this plane.. i shimmed the gear and it would barely taxi on low rates at our grass feild. it did enough to take off, but the second flight i took off on high rates and it taxis much better like that.
i tried to get it to snap like everyone talks about and it will, if you don't have enough speed and slam the elevator up, it will snap out and do kind of an immelman. but with this thing weighing only around 6 pounds with fuel, it is really predictable and not an issue for me. with the balance just a hair aft of the recomended mark, i was able to get a decent flat spin. thats says a lot for this planes ability to flat spin, since i am not exactly a seasoned pilot yet. i was afraid to do 3d stuff down low, but even with the cg forward, it was relatively stable in a hover and i even got half a torque roll. this thing is very agile and you have to be watchful while on high rates. nothing unpredictable, but just very quick. the roll rate is very good with high rates. very axial too.
