The CEN Matrix would be something i would consider. I read up on all the buggies I could afford for awhile and kept coming back to the matrix based on its features and its price.

It can be had RTR with an MX3 radio for $400 shipped NIB on ebay.

They also offer an ARR version which you build yourself for $290 I think.
