I had the 50 SX with the 12.75x3.25 prop on my first SSE and it was a blast. I now have a new SSE kit built with the Tower .75 and I'll be swinging a 14x4W until it's broken in. The taller landing made taxing much nicer, even when I only had the 12.25" prop. The prop will be very close to the ground if you have anything near 12" diameter. I would splurge for the taller landing gear if you can afford it. If you ever crash this plane, you can always put the landing gear on your next SSE, and you will buy another SSE if you crash it. They are great planes.
