Default RE: e-flite p-47

I recenlty reviewd the P-47 for another site... should be up soon.

Park 450 Outrunner Brushless & 20 amp ESC
Took the 1 oz of putty in the front lip of the cowl to balance and this with the rudder servo option installed.

This is with the TP 3cell 2100 slid into the channel it was designed for. For those adding so much weight, I'm guessing you are installing the battery in the larger area behind that seems to have "battery bumps" molded in to help keep a NiCad/Nimh from sliding so much. The tunnel is JUST ahead of that and a 2100 fit inside perfectly... this is not an air cooling tunnel.

Balance was spot on with the 1 oz of putty, though I did leave the plastic wingbottoms off... I think the underside looks just fine without addind that extra oz or so.

Flies real nice with this setup... not monstrously powered but plenty for a warbird. I could easily do very large loops from level flight.

I did want to mention that I too got a funny hit... I was using a Berg Microstamp in mine... usually flawless. My cowl came loos a little and rubbed against the pro tad, was making a little noise, then I got a hit or two. It's possible that the motor somehow generated some RF rubbing against the cowl (can't figure out how, but maybe) and that could explain others mysterious hits perhaps...

Anyhow beautiful offering from Horizon... the most complete out of box I've seen and a nice performer as well.
