i have a modeltech magic funfly, i have flown it probably 10 times and am fairly comfortable with it, the forcast tommarow says for 10-20mph wind and i am really wanting to get it in the air again, but heres the problem, i fly out of my backyard which turns into a hayfield and theirs trees on one side of the yard forcing me to have to land with a tail wind BUT i had the idea of pointing the magic into the wind and try to have it go backwards until im over the yard and land it. from my expierence it will stay still in about a 5-10 mph wind if you point the nose up so i think i should be able to back it into the yard, any suggestions?
I'm no mathematician but I came up with a formula when I think about trying what you just mentioned:
(Cost of airplane/lack of skill) - ("Hey y’all, watch this...” + Trick never before attempted) = (Funds in bank account - Cost of repairs or new airplane)
Having just published my algorithm, I would love to see the video - no matter what the outcome!
