Default RE: Youth Masters Question

ORIGINAL: Anna Wood

And why is it a Reverse Shark's Tooth as opposed to a Shark's Tooth?

Because the 45 degree upline is flown first.

This same logic applies to Half Cubans and Reverse Half Cubans. The 45 degree line is flown first on the reverse maneuver.

A few more details to the Aresti puzzle... :-)

RCBunn,

As you can see, counting on the "names" of a maneuver is VERY risky. Have your caller tell you to "pull to a 45 upline, center a 1/2 roll on the 45 upline, pull to a downline, pull to exit positive". Forget trying to figure out what's a reverse and what isn't. It only causes confusion, even with very experienced Unlimited class pilots.

Good luck with your 2006 contest season!!

Dean
