Hi guys. I'm the friend of Maudib that is hopping up the P47 I got from him. Here's some pics of the motor, firewall, installation and where I had to move things around to balance. After removing all the clay and adding the new heavier motor & firewall, I ended up nose-heavy. So, I had to cut a slot in the bottom of the fuse to move the 2100 pack back for balance. It now rests on a velcro strip on the top of the wing.
Balance is about 1/16" behind the suggested point which should be perfect. I still haven't done a range check with this receiver, so hopefully it will check out OK. As soon as we get good enough weather I'll give it a shot and let you know how it performs. I know it will have TONS of power, but just hope I got the engine thrust angle correct!
