Default RE: Perry pump for ST2300

I have both the 2300 and the 180 and have had them mounted on the same plane. They both are good engines but the Saito is user friendly and has better revup qualities for 3D type flying. If you just want to fly around go with the 2300. I just don't trust mine yet because of the learning curb with the deadsticks. What I would recomend for the 2300 from my personal experiences would be the following. Go with Jett carb at about $60+ and install an onboard glow system. But by the time you do this and crash 2 or 3 airplanes it would be cheaper to go with Saito. But if you insist go for it. Some like a challenge as did I. That is why I am still working with my 2300 after about a year and a few crashes. Oh, and I will not give up because that is part of the fun of this hobby. The 2300 does have good power 17X6, 18X6, and some even run 18X8 props with tuned pipes. Mine likes the 17X6 for sport flying, it has better transition and revup.
