Engine switch on my Edge, and some questions.
I needed bearings for my fox 3.2. So, I decided to put my G62 on the Edge while the bearing where getting replaced in the fox. My G62 is very strong, and much lighter than the stock G62. I didn't move anything (batteries etc), just mounted the engine on the firewall.
Some thoughts after the initial fights.
1 - Tons of power, the G62 is spinning the 23x8 MSC with authority. Excellent throttle response, and good punch out power. Hovers, and Torques better than before.
2 - I need some right thrust, I don't know, my 'cup' on the G62 could be the problem... but during full throttle vertical climbs, she pulls to the left... not much, but I will put a couple of washers on the firewall, that should fix that....
3 - Balance seems to be in the good range, it's about 1/2 forward of 33%... I had it at 33% with the Fox. I guess the G62 is a little heavier than the fox.
OK. When attempting a wall, the edge wants to snap.... also, full elevator is to much for harriers now (it rotates right into hover)...
I think I understand the harrier problem, it's in the throttle... I'm not 100% linear, so I can fix that... but the 'snapping' tendency when flying slow (a wall)... has me confused.
Is it to much elevator throw causing the snap?
Would the additional weight of the G62 cause it to snap?
