Agreed to some extent on the snap problem. A "wall" really isn't a maneuver designed to be entered "slow" though, so a lack of momentum comes into play. If you're snapping uopn entry into a medium speed wall, dial in a little rudder mix or plan ahead with a touch of left thumb input. It's also possible that the right thumb may not be completely centered, adding a bit of aileron input at the wrong time. Something I do from time to time.
There's really no such thing as "too much elevator". Perhaps too much thumb?
