I believe a drop is a drop, and determined by surface tension of the liquid forming the drop.
In addition to Surface Tension --Flow Rate, Pressure, and Spray Angle impact the size of a drop. In this case Flow Rate would be reduced using one of the common applicator tips available vs straight from the bottle.
