Default RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Yes, Waldo, when Down gets away from his Twist, he gets sick--and poetic. Love it. And he ain't gonna like this weekend's weather. It's going to be bitter cold, "breezy, and snowy. But I'll bet ya a new Twist he'll find a way to fly it--even if he has to run around inside the house with his fingers under the fuse. I've gotta get a pic of that, too. :-)

Here's a couple pix of my birds (at our "summer field")--and Swedetown Ponds, with Down's Zaggi and Twist--on a nice day.

Recently we ran into a couple other flyers who have much larger fields to use. One field is maintained by a flyer, a very old flyer (big planes), who keeps a windsock on his garage--and MOWS THE GRASS ALL SUMMER LONG for the R/C flyers. Nice guy. Came to stand with me while I was flying at their other field, just down the road, and talked and talked planes. I plan to get him up on a buddy cord this summer, just for kicks. Hm, maybe before.

Swedetown Ponds and the other summer field, the old Houghton Co. Airport (50 years ago), now filled with baseball fences! and growing trees are not ideal, but they're very close--within a mile of Down's house, 6 miles from mine. The new fields are 14 miles away. Doesn't sound like far, but it's across the Portage Canal, which means you burn gas going and coming, deep, steep valley.

No flying today--and I'm getting twitchy. Down's gotta be in deep DT's. That's "Down Twist."
