Default RE: Powerline Edge is on the Way

I'm waiting on some longer muffler bolts.

I mounted the engine inverted and installed my cline regulator. Tank on the CG.

I also installed a Ram on-board glow driver for it. It's not necessary with the cline, but the engine fits completely inside the cowl and I didn't want to hack a hole in the bottom for the glow igniter. Makes it easy to start. Nice little gizmo.

With the engine inverted, the stock muffler won't fit on. It exhausts out the left side of the plane now. The fuse is too wide for the muffler to clear. I had a custom exhaust extension made for it. It's 1.25" long. This will put my stock muffler right out the side of the cowl and run it down the left side of the fuse.

I had to order some 4mmx 65mm bolts to get all the way through that extension and bolt up to the engine. Waiting on the bolts to arrive.

The cowl has been mounted and cut out for everything but the muffler.

Ailerons are done. Tail is done. Pilot is done. Throttle servo is HS-81. I scuffed it up with my razor knife and then skuffed up the side of the engine mount as well. Slapped the servo right on the side of the engine mount with some 5min epoxy. Made up a short little linkage rod and it's done.

I just need to mount the muffler. Mount the RX and battery and the switch. Slap a tailwheel on it and balance it.
