ORIGINAL: Flip and Fly
Ya, that BME is cool[8D]. 2.1lbs bare I would guess.
Texan, you have a nice setup there, however keep it as light as possible. A fellow club member had one with a G45 in it. It had good power but was a bit of a handful on landing. I would keep it at or under 16lbs if possible. His was 18lbs[

Nice work!
The G45 is fairly heavy at approx. 4.9lbs. The Taurus is 3.3lbs (without ign.). I'm shooting for an AUW around 14lbs.
Here is my airframe weight est. so far
Wings 2 @ 12oz = 24oz
Fuse with with tail and TS42 = 114oz
Fiberglass parts= 10.5oz
pilot = 2oz
tires = 5oz
servo 1.5x8 = 12oz
rec = 1.25oz
batt x2 = 7oz
fuel tank = 1.5oz
ign = 4oz
est. total bare airframe ready to cover = 181.25 oz = 11.33lbs (add 2 switches, extensions, fuel lines, control rods, horns, prop, spinner, and covering)
