Texan, are you going to lighten the plywood fuse with a Dremel? Looks like alot of excess meat there. You might save a few ounces.

I don't want to hijack the thread. My point is that the AUW should come out about right with the Taurus TS42. The plans show a weight range of 12.5 - 16lbs. The wing area is 1240sq in so the loading range is 23.2oz to 29.7oz. At my 14lb AUW target, loading is 26oz. I may take a little meat off the ply if it doesn't compromise stiffness. I want my snaps to snap... not SNAP! I expect the static thrust to be around 25lbs (estimated by my experience with a ZDZ40). I have not run the Taurus yet. So, if someone has direct experience with static thrust output of a TS42 I would be interested.
