I just reinstalled an OS 1.08 2 stroke in my Spitfire (inverted engine) and it starts, runs fine with the glow igniter, and for about 30 seconds after removing the igniter. It then just dies right down without "loading up." Yes, I did try a new glow plug. I can't tell if the engine is getting too much fuel and drowning plug or is not getting enough. When I restart, all I have to do is tweak the nose cone backward and it fires right up and runs normally (until I take the heat off.)
This engine has an oddball low-end adjustor screw that operates a cam lever. It seems to accelerate normally without stumbling or cutting off. One more thing, the high speed needle is only open less than one turn (about 3/4) and it seems like it should be more than that. I did get it to make one pass around the field, but it cut off in a Cuban 8 and glided back dead stick. Any help or hints with this would be greatly appreciated! Feel free to email me.
