The engine slowing down when glo heat is removed
is usually an indication of either too rich a
mixture or not enough nitro or possibly too
cold a glo plug. Also have you tried starting
the engine with the plane inverted so the engine
is upright? If the behavior of the engine changes
then it could indicate a tank height issue...

Just something else to try.
