Duane is correct, there is some "weird engineer" math at work as the tail pinches at the tail, even if the cut is parrallel to the wing centerline. This can cause up trim if you don't catch it. I finally made a change on my last run of kits to compensate for this. DK helped explain it, but its over my head.
