Duane is correct, there is some "weird engineer" math at work as the tail pinches at the tail, even if the cut is parrallel to the wing centerline. This can cause up trim if you don't catch it. I finally made a change on my last run of kits to compensate for this. DK helped explain it, but its over my head.

I think the reason is, that both sides aren't parallel to each other - as mentioned. And the nose of the tail comes down slightly if simply clued on. But as long as it is alligend straight with the tools this won't care. (just a bit bit more clue - not worth to mention.).

Hi Guys,
I will try to post a couple of pictures how Lewis fixed this whole problem on his Pacemakers. It is so simple I can't believe nobody else has done this. He used this method even on the old kit I got from him back in the 1990's. He has a crutch the V-tail sits in the guarentee 0 degrees incidence. Has absolutely nothing to do with the sides of the fuselage.

Yes he did. I was horrified. "Ed Smith" and "ARF" in the same sentence. Just when detox was starting to work. Now I am right back to the beginning!!

Did he really use the "A" word

I am so sorry... I didn't intend any disrespect or understand the revulsion to the "A" word.... I washed my mouth very well with several Vodka's and I am now cured.
