Default RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Waldo, don't get TOO excited about our Twisting. The pictures lie, but only a little. I have YET to hover that close to the ground. Put about 15 feet under my hover--and about 5 under Down's. Pictures lie purdy good, hm? The rest is all true--and accurately portrayed.

What I couldn't show was hovering at about 25 feet, then cutting the engine, and recovering from sure disaster. Those have to be in videos. [Bring it on, Wyld.] We've been practicing those hovers/killed engine moves. Often the nose will sometimes go down and PAST the vertical, so the bird becomes nearly inverted, which can be held there and made horizontal with a little down elevator, which is UP elevator relative to the plane, of course. Cute exits to a hover.

No sun yet today and the snow's clearing--a bit, so I may get to attempt a low hover, but the snow is so fluffy I just may try a low inverted pass and mark the snow--depending on the winds--with the tail. I may not have a picture taker, but I can always show the end result--and hope it's not a pile of yellow, purple, and balsa.

Jack
